Year 3

Welcome to the wonderful world of KS2!

Year 3 is a big step for children as they move from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. In Year 3, we continue to teach children how to become responsible members of the St Thomas’s School community, learning lots of new skills along the way. Children are encouraged to gain in independence by organising themselves and taking more responsibility for their own learning.

Of course it is important that we also have lots of fun as we learn, and we have some brilliant themes and projects alongside our Year 3 Promises to help ensure that we have an interesting, broad and balanced curriculum. A particular highlight is the children’s first school residential!

Throughout Year 3 we aim to learn collaboratively, share and explore the world around us. We continue to build friendships, make good choices and understand more about our class value of Hope.

On this page you will find information about Year 3, click on the buttons below to take you to the relevant pages.
